Identifying Characteristics:  

black and white striped head with yellow “beanie” on top (not always obvious), yellow underparts, rufous wings and tail.

     
Similar to/Compare with:   Boat-Billed Flycatcher (bill larger/no yellow on head); Social Flycatcher (bill smaller); both lack bright rufous
     
Range:   from Texas to South America
     
Habitat:   most other places, besides forests
